Neal McCoy’s New Single “Shotgun Rider” Now Available

NMSR_itunes_artwork_sm Nashville, TN (April 24, 2012) – Blaster Records recording artist and multi-platinum singer and entertainer Neal McCoy has released his new single, “Shotgun Rider”, which is being added to radio station playlists nationwide.  This latest single is from Neal’s twelfth career album, appropriately titled XII, which was produced by Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and renowned guitarist Brent Rowan.

Written by hit songwriters Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson, Keith Anderson and Ben Hayslip, “Shotgun Rider” is an uptempo, feel-good song about asking your girl to take a ride in your truck and spending time together.

“No matter how far or how short the drive, it's always better to have someone you really like,  Ridin’ Shotgun with you, than going it alone," commented Neal McCoy about the new single.

“Shotgun Rider” is just one of the great tracks on XII, the latest in Neal McCoy’s varied career. Over the years, he has sold six million albums, with five #1 singles, over 25 charted singles, and has had a string of top ten radio hits.  McCoy, also known for his exciting live shows, has completed numerous USO tours and supports the East Texas Angel Network, his charity for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Roughstock's Second Annual Music Video Madness: Round One: Sweet 16

Music-Video-Madness-2012-300-01b

With the success of last year’s Music Video Madness, we’ve decided to bring back Roughstock’s Music Video Madness this year. Last year we saw Craig Campbell sweep through each round and then in the final match, the Bigger Picture artist’s “Family Man” trounced runner-up Randy Montana’s “1,000 Faces” music video.

This year, we find the champion returning to defend his crown with “When I Get It.” The other 15 artists in contention this year include Lee Brice, Kip Moore, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Toby Keith, Andy Gibson, Chris Cagle, Neal McCoy, Jason Cassidy, Thompson Square, Jessie James, Canaan Smith, Casey Donahew Band and Katie Armiger.

This week's contest will run from today through Monday. The first round winners will be announced Next Friday when round two starts.

How Roughstock’s Music Video Madness Works!

There are four divisions and two contests in each division through this weekend.  Voting will be counted for each  video through this weekend and then the sixteen videos will be pared down to eight winning videos.  The top two videos from each of the four divisions will compete to win their division next weekend. After the voting ends that Sunday, we will pare down the division winners of division 1 and three to compete to for the right to compete in the final contest against the division 2 or 4 winner.  Our final contest will then determine what music video wins Roughstock’s Second Annual Music Video Madness Award!

How You Can Win Too!

In addition to supporting your favorite music videos from your favorite artists, you will have the chance to enter to win one of five prize packs which feature FREE SWAG (a mixture of merchandise from CDs to T-Shirts and more) from EACH of the sixteen artists featured in this contest.  You can enter the contest as much as you want but only after you have voted for your favorite videos.  The five winners will be announced when the winning video is announced in 4 weeks.
